We’re Dannielle and Vaughn Taylor, the husband‑and‑wife team behind Chubby Hubby Bakery — a dessert brand built on love, legacy, and the belief that no one should ever feel left out of dessert.
Our story began 15 years ago over a slice of rum cake at a workplace bake sale. That moment sparked not just a romance, but a shared love for food, flavor, and creating joy for others. Three years ago, we turned that spark into a business — starting with nothing but a simple pop‑up tent, a dream, and a whole lot of determination.
Why We Bake The Way We Do
At one of our early pop‑ups, a young girl walked up excited to get dessert… until she realized she couldn’t have anything because of a gluten allergy. Watching her disappointment changed everything for us. We knew dessert should never make someone feel left out.
That moment inspired our mission:
to create nostalgic, plant‑powered desserts that taste incredible — and are safe for as many people as possible.
From our vegan, gluten‑free cookies to our allergen‑friendly cakes and brownies, every recipe is crafted with intention, inclusivity, and flavor first.


Where We’re Heading

From our early days selling at pop‑ups in our signature pink tent, to launching our food truck and expanding into event catering, we’re building a bakery with room for everyone at the table. Whether you're grabbing a cookie from the truck, ordering a Celebration Cake, or booking a Love & Layers dessert table for your wedding, you can always expect desserts made from scratch, with premium ingredients and a whole lot of love.
